Verizon is yet another monopoly screwing us because we have no choice.   Verizon not only makes you pay to keep your number, but when you request call forwarding, they’ll lose your order until you lose your number.  They’re too inept to give you one account for multiple numbers, so if you have multiple numbers, you’ll have multiple bills.  Lots of fun.  Yes, now you can use VOIP, but you can’t port a Verizon number, so you’re stuck paying Verizon.  (For a business, it’s not such a good idea to give up a number you’ve had for years).  Get the picture?
