The TV ads for this product are so convincing that I finally decided to try it.  I went to their website and chose the $19.95 trial set, not realizing that I was in fact signing up for their “Clear Skin Club.”  (What a joke, but more on that later.) 

I was so hopeful when I started using this product; I can only imagine what people with real acne feel like when they order this stuff.  (My complexion isn’t really that bad, and I know how much suffering there is for those with acne).  After a week of using the “renewing cleanser, “revitalizing toner”, and “repairing lotion,” I had the biggest zit on my cheek that I have ever had in my life.  It was HUGE, it took about two weeks to go away, and it never really did go away, because now I’m left with a dark scar where that zit used to be. 

Needless to say I was shocked to receive another box of Proactiv products in the mail.  Wondering if against all odds it might be a free gift, I opened the attached envelope to discover an invoice for $49.41 with the cloying message, “Congratulations!  You are now on your way to the clear and healthy skin you’ve always wanted.”  I called the company who promptly removed me from their membership, but I had to pay the shipping to send the product back–$14.95!

I don’t know if anyone has honestly had success with this product or if the testimonials they have in their ads are pure BS.  I can only say that I was severly disappointed with this product and am still looking for my way to “clear and healthy skin.”
